The legendary Chris P, the nicest man in animation, married to the nicest woman in animation, Shannon. Together, they own Titmouse Inc, with studios in Hollywood and New York, that makes more animated shows, shorts, and commercials than I can count.

They have an amazing new series which Chris created called Motorcity, which premiered tonight. The remarkable thing about this series (beyond its apparent remarkable qualities) is that it is animated almost entirely in the U.S. That is no easy feat for an action show, especially one as insane as this. And this wasn’t something they pulled off overnight: Chris, Shannon, Juno, and everyone at Titmouse have built this production pipeline and developed their own software and unique animation techniques over the past decade or so. I love working with artists from all over the world, but I would prefer to work with them all under the same roof. Titmouse is out there on the front lines fighting the good fight, trying to figure out a way for that to happen here in the States.

Back in the day, I worked with Titmouse on the opening title sequence of Avatar: The Last Airbender (along with my friend Andy Dill, who did the CG/composite work). I’d LOVE to work with Titmouse again. One day, when we somehow find the time…
